Cheese Fair in the Market Place
The iconic and world famous blue-veined Stilton cheese was distributed in vast quantities from this favourite spot in the Market Place, right in the centre of the town.  Great quantities of unwrapped cheeses were laid out in the morning, most of which had been purchased long before evening time and transported to locations far and wide.  Mr Wing’s general store in the background, is today’s W.H.
